A platform for everyone who depends on it.

Students, families and staff use School Niva with different abilities, devices and languages. We design and test every journey so it works for all of them.

Same page, every way

One screen, used four different ways

The same homework card, as different people experience it. Every journey is built and checked for each.

Design principles

Four habits in every journey

  • Keyboard first

Every core journey works with a keyboard, with visible focus and no traps.

  • Meaningful structure

Headings, labels, status and errors say the same thing to a screen reader as they show on screen.

  • Readable presentation

Contrast, text size, spacing and reduced motion respect each person's needs.

  • Test with people and tools

Automated checks are the baseline; assistive technology and real users complete the picture.

Our standard

What every page must do

Always

  • Work with a keyboard alone
  • Reflow on small screens and when zoomed in
  • Meet colour-contrast requirements

Never

  • Rely on colour alone to carry meaning
  • Trap focus or move content without warning

How it is checked

Evidence gathered in layers

Each layer catches what the one before it can't.

  1. Automated checks

Structure, names, contrast and references are checked on every page.

Independent assurance

Accessibility, measured before it's claimed

We publish only what is independently verified. Ask us anything your review needs.

  • No conformance claim before an audit

We'll publish a conformance statement only after an independent accessibility audit.

  • Third parties checked separately

Third-party tools and school-supplied content are evaluated on their own.

  • Tell us about a barrier

Report anything that gets in your way and we'll respond and fix it.
